Global Series is a special Magic: The Gathering product line created to celebrate and expand Magic’s presence in international markets by featuring localized characters, lore, and themes. These sets are designed with regional flavor and are often tied to real-world cultures and mythologies. The first and only release, Global Series: Jiang Yanggu vs. Mu Yanling, launched on June 22, 2018, and introduced two brand-new planeswalkers inspired by Chinese folklore. The product includes two preconstructed 60-card decks with simplified rules and flavor-rich designs aimed at new players. Though limited in scope, the Global Series remains a unique and culturally significant entry in Magic’s product history.
